.... for the enjoyment given from a musical show on TV this evening

.... for a wonderful walk in the sunshine, enjoying God`s world

...... that my bruises and pain are at last beginning to ease

..... for the sight of a beautiful blue carpet of bluebells in the wood.   Masses and masses of dainty flowers, all combining together to produce such a delightful sight.

...... that things went well, with one of the early preparation days for a large Flower Festival

.....  a beautiful sunny day, and an enjoyable day out with a friend made a perfect day.

..... for finding enough work to do, to occupy my time!

..... that the dinner I cooked for our minister and myself turned out well

..... that it was so warm and springlike today that I was able to prick out some plantlets into pots and do it outside instead of in the kitchen

.... spent a pleasant afternoon  taking my Mum shopping

.... the feel of earth warm from the sun, as I set my vegetable seeds this afteroon.

.....for the good news that a friend is now home from hospital

..... had the first crab of the year, for tea tonight, and it was delicious!

.... had a lazy day, doing nothing - and it was good to relax in that way once in a while!

..... for three very different, but all very meaningful Easter services at our church today, and for all the work our Minister had put into preparing them.

....that despite being Easter Saturday, there was very little traffic and no hold up when I went to spend the day with a friend today

.... that the rain kept away whilst we held our Good Friday silent procession of witness through the town and onto a hill to erect a cross

.... that I found enough work to keep my hours occupied at the office today

.... for a relaxing time with a friend this evening

.... for a very moving Meditataion at our church tonight as part of Holy Week

..... that the gardener has been and cut my grass.  It`s really made the garden look super with all the spring daffodils now out.

.... a beautiful suuny day, so enjoyed a nice ride and sit by the creek at Burnham Overy

..... for being able to spend time with a friend this afternoon and evening

..... for the sight of the first primroses, as I drove along a country road this afternoon

.....for the sense of smell

..... I saw a butterfly flittering about outside my window today, the first one of the year, must be a sign of good weather

...... for succesfully cooking a piece of smoked haddock for my tea!

..... for a lovely springlike day of sunshine and warmer air

..... for the work put into two very good services by the ministers at our church today

.... for a nice relaxing afternoon with a friend

.... took my Mum out shopping this afternoon, and how lucky we are to have such a variety of grocery items to choose from and buy

.... for the sound of birds singing as I walked to work this morning

....for the sight of daffodils in bud ready to flower

...... for a lovely bright sunny day

..... that I had reason to go into an unused room where I work, and that I was not afraid of birds flying around.   (full story on my other Blog)

..... I made an hours journey to go back to a shop in the city to get more of an item I`d purchased on Thursday and I was happy to find that they still had a supply of what I wanted.

.... Today was my Mum`s birthday, so she came here for the day and we had a good time together

.... for successfully finding something I`d been searching for,  in one of the shops in the city.

...... that the birthday cake I made for my Mum turned out well, and didn`t stick to the tin when I got it out of the oven.

.... for an enjoyable day out with a friend and my mum.

.....a friend came to visit for the day and we had a lovely relaxing time together, which made a good start to my weeks holiday

.... enjoyed walking in the sun, along by the sea this afternoon

.... I heard the sound of bird song at 4 a.m. this morning, it was a real joy, a sign of spring

.....  that a new handicraft I`ve taken up, seems to be going well

.....for a lovely sunny bright day after all the rain of yesterday

.... for a nice relaxing afternoon watching tv by the fire while watching the rain coming down outside

...... for the signs of spring all around - the tiny snowdrops in the garden and the sight of catkins on some trees as I passed today

.... for the sense of smell.   To enjoy the perfume of some soap I was making

.... that my bruises are now fast disappearing (apart from one) and I`m feeling ok again

.... for a delicious fish and chip tea

...... for the sight of tiny snowdrops in my garden.  A lovely sign of spring.

.... that the snow from yesterday had all gone this morning

.... had a delicious steamed lemon sponge for lunch

..... a beautiful bunch of dark purple tulips from a friend.  The colour is so unusual and beautiful.

..... I had a friend to visit today, and it was lovely to have some company. 

...... for a safe drive back in the snow, from my Mums a short time ago.

...... That I was able to do some hoovering round the house today.   Maybe sounds a strange thing to give thanks for, but I`d been told that I mustn`t do it, when they thought I might have angina.

..... It`s Shrove Tuesday - so it has to be thanks for the delicious pancakes with sugar and lemon which turned out well and were delicious!

..... that a meeting I was secretary of, went well tonight in all its planing for a big event

... for a beautiful sunny day.

.... for having a little walk out in the sunshine after being indoors for four days. 

.... for the song of my little canary.   What company he`s been to me these last few days.

.... for a lovely bunch of daffodils given to me by a friend.  The daffodils were still in bud and its a joy to watch them develop and bloom in the warmth of the room.    
And, I guess there`s a message in there for us - that with warmth and love, and care and concern, we blossom and grow too.

.... for all the phone calls I have received today from church friends asking how I got on yesterday.  I was surprised and very moved by the concern they showed for me.

.....  very grateful thanks, that the hospital tests today revealed that there was no problem with my arteries or heart. 
and for the kindness and care of the nurses and all the hospital staff, and especially for my good friend who stayed with me throughout the time in hospital and last night at home.

.... for a lovely hard made get well card that popped through my letter box a short while ago, just as I was feeling low and anxious about tomorrow.

.... for our evening service which was a special Healing Service with the laying on of hands, and was so relevant to me

.... for an enjoyable day with a friend who came to see me

.... for the offers of help and transport from so many kind friends at our church

.... for the sight of two beautiful deer, that my car headlights lit up in a field as I drove home tonight

.... that I eneded today feeling a lot better than I had when I got up in the morning.

..... that I felt better after my days work today than I did yesterday.

.... for the prayers our minister said for me at the end of a meeting this evening.  I found that very moving.

.... for so many good friends at church, all asking how I was and, even more touching, was the number that were offering practical help if/when I need it.  A two of them even going as far as to say to ring them anytime even in the middle of the night and they`d come (and they really meant it).

.... for a welcome warming cup of tea (provided by the minister) whilst I was doing flowers in a cold church.

......that the fishmonger had a lovely whole dover sole today, which I enjoyed for my dinner

....that I was able to go out for a walk today (on doctor`s orders), after being in for a week.  It was good to feel the fresh air.

..... for the gift of a nice bunch of red carnations from a friend

.... for reasurance from my doctor that the pins and needles I was feeling in my arm weren`t related to my pains of last week.

.... that a friend made time to come several miles to spend a day with me today, and to share some of my worries

....Turning on the television this tea time to watch the BBC Songs of Praise, having not been to church today, I found it a very inspiring one, with many several hymns that seemed to speak to me, and my current situation and worries.

..... for the telephone. I was feeling very down this morning and alone, when the phone rang, and it was my friend, that chat helped cheer me up.

.... that I managed to pluck up courage to tell my Mum about my visit to the doctor and hospital, (or at least some of the details)

.... for H., a very good friend who came to hospital with me when I went for tests today, and stayed with me the whole time.

...for the cheering sound of birds twittering away on the roof tops and in the trees as I walked to work

....for a good nights sleep last night, despite a pain in my chest and side

The sun shone, the snow had gone. My Mum came for the day and I was able to take her for a ride along the coast and sit by a sea wall watching a man feed the sea-gulls in the afternoon.

...that the fishmonger had some lovely fresh skate, which made a delcious dinner!

...for a really enjoyable day spent with a friend.

....for the help of a friend climbing up to put my Christmas trimmings back into the loft

....that we have a handy fish & chip shop in the town, as I forgot to defrost the casserole which I`d meant to have for my dinner

....for the lovely sound of my canary singing after months of being quiet while moulting

... that the snow has gone from our town and I can walk safely on ice free pavements again.

...for the kindess of our Minister for coming to pick me up for the service this morning, as I didn`t fancy driving on the snow and ice, and was going to miss the Covenant service.

...for a delicious roast pork dinner

.... for postmen, food delivery people, and everyone who is bravely coping with the weather to bring us essential services.

....that a very helpful engineer on the other end of the phone was able to sort out the problem with my computer and tell me how to get it going again.

....for a lovely warm fire on a bitterly cold day

....that I had some de-icer in the car this afternoon

....for a safe walk to work on icy pavements

The thin sprinkling of snow we had overnight thawed enough in the afternoon to let me get over to see my Mum, and to take her some of the baking I`d done the other day. So that was good.

I woke up to a white world this morning, it looked so beautiful, but I was thankful that I didn`t have to go out in it!
