I guess it`s time I started to keep my blog up again, somehow I got so inundated with jobs both before and after a large Flower Festival that I`ve not had time to post anything - so just to start it off again, here`s a couple of pictures of what kept me so occupied for most of July.

.... the feel of earth warm from the sun, as I set my vegetable seeds this afteroon.

.....for the good news that a friend is now home from hospital

..... had the first crab of the year, for tea tonight, and it was delicious!

..... for three very different, but all very meaningful Easter services at our church today, and for all the work our Minister had put into preparing them.

....that despite being Easter Saturday, there was very little traffic and no hold up when I went to spend the day with a friend today

.... that the rain kept away whilst we held our Good Friday silent procession of witness through the town and onto a hill to erect a cross

..... that the gardener has been and cut my grass. It`s really made the garden look super with all the spring daffodils now out.

..... I made an hours journey to go back to a shop in the city to get more of an item I`d purchased on Thursday and I was happy to find that they still had a supply of what I wanted.

.... Today was my Mum`s birthday, so she came here for the day and we had a good time together

.... for successfully finding something I`d been searching for, in one of the shops in the city.

...... that the birthday cake I made for my Mum turned out well, and didn`t stick to the tin when I got it out of the oven.

...... That I was able to do some hoovering round the house today. Maybe sounds a strange thing to give thanks for, but I`d been told that I mustn`t do it, when they thought I might have angina.

..... It`s Shrove Tuesday - so it has to be thanks for the delicious pancakes with sugar and lemon which turned out well and were delicious!

.... for a lovely bunch of daffodils given to me by a friend. The daffodils were still in bud and its a joy to watch them develop and bloom in the warmth of the room.
And, I guess there`s a message in there for us - that with warmth and love, and care and concern, we blossom and grow too.

.... for all the phone calls I have received today from church friends asking how I got on yesterday. I was surprised and very moved by the concern they showed for me.

..... very grateful thanks, that the hospital tests today revealed that there was no problem with my arteries or heart.
and for the kindness and care of the nurses and all the hospital staff, and especially for my good friend who stayed with me throughout the time in hospital and last night at home.

.... for a lovely hard made get well card that popped through my letter box a short while ago, just as I was feeling low and anxious about tomorrow.

.... for so many good friends at church, all asking how I was and, even more touching, was the number that were offering practical help if/when I need it. A two of them even going as far as to say to ring them anytime even in the middle of the night and they`d come (and they really meant it).

....that I was able to go out for a walk today (on doctor`s orders), after being in for a week. It was good to feel the fresh air.

....Turning on the television this tea time to watch the BBC Songs of Praise, having not been to church today, I found it a very inspiring one, with many several hymns that seemed to speak to me, and my current situation and worries.

..... for the telephone. I was feeling very down this morning and alone, when the phone rang, and it was my friend, that chat helped cheer me up.

.... for H., a very good friend who came to hospital with me when I went for tests today, and stayed with me the whole time.

The sun shone, the snow had gone. My Mum came for the day and I was able to take her for a ride along the coast and sit by a sea wall watching a man feed the sea-gulls in the afternoon.
